KENNALL VALE

Originally a gunpowder factory, Kennall Vale has been reclaimed by nature and is now a reserve managed by Cornwall Wildlife Trust. With trees, moss and other plants growing over the stone buildings, it is hard to imagine the peaceful woodland as somewhere that was once so dangerous. The plants growing all over the sight prove that nature will return to its former glory, with or without human help and resources. Filled with natural beauty and a surprising amount of industrial history, Kennall Vale offers many sights and unexpected details that echo a life not long passed.
