PENRYN HARBOUR: LIFE AND RUST

Penryn Harbour: Life and Rust shows the connections and competition between humans and nature in Penryn Harbour. Most of the boats and their gear have been left to the elements and appear to have been abandoned for many years. They are rusty and broken and an unwelcome sight along this stretch of the Cornish coastline. Plant life is slowly trying to reclaim the land by growing in and around the human made objects left on the water’s edge. New plants are growing over the boats and boating equipment trying to conceal the evidence of the old way of life that was present here for many years.
